Hello! Today I purchased a used HPS9000 E/B from a friend. (serial # 128120 D07…P/N #16079-026. Looking to do needed maintenance. It has approximately 50 to 75 hours of usage on it. Assuming an oil change is in order. Also seeking wisdom on any other obvious maintenance that needs to be done. I also would like information on the propane conversion piece. Appreciate any wisdom, as this is my first generator purchase. Thank you for your help. Winco comes highly recommended by my friend who I purchased from.

Mark, I put the engine manual on this page. It has your maintenance schedule in it. Winco sells a maintenance kit 16200-008, which include the air filter, pre-air filter, oil filter, two spark plugs and two quarts of oil. Please call our Parts Department @ 507-357-8332 if you wish to purchase it. There are no parts to buy to convert it to propane. Follow the instructions in the operators manual on this page.

I have a HPS 9000 E/A. I have never seen a generator with a 35 power source. A 30 cord will plug into it but it’s not rated high enough. How is this supposed to hook up safely. I’m thinking purchase 30 amp cord plugs but get wire rated for 40-50 amps and make my own cord. Then place a 35 amp breaker at the electrical box. Either that or go straight 30 amp but I’m afraid the cord is a weakness. What’s typical? Do you sell a 35 amp generator plug/ cord set?

Brad, Winco does not sell a cord you are describing. Please contact your local electrician for electrical supplies.
