The ‘product features’ states that the generators comes with a full power Anderson plug kit included. What wire size will the plug kit accept? Or is it adaptable to varying wire sizes?

Glen, the plug kit comes with 4 AWG contacts. If your application calls for larger wire size, larger contacts are available.

Thanks Dale. I was already planning to use 4 AWG for my application. So this will work perfect, thanks.

Bill Valagura –
What type of Anderson connectors come with the Anderson Plug Kit? Powerpole? Powerpole PAX? SB? SBE? SBX? Knowing what connector comes with the kit tells me what crimper I need to purchase when I build my genset power cord and what the largest size Type W cable I can use as well.

Dale Riebel –
Bill, the Anderson connector housing is a SB. The contacts that come in the plug kit are 4 AWG. Please consult the NEC (National Electric Code) table 400.5(A)(2) for the correct wire to use for your application. According to that table, 6 AWG 90 degree C copper wire, type W is rated for 87 amps. This would cover the amperage of circuit. You can order #6 AWG contacts seperatly from our Parts Department if needed.
