Bought my WL18000VE used with wheel kit from a supplier (previous owner let it burn up at 660 hrs ignoring oil- I got it with new heads and a once-over by a tech). I’ve put 200+ additional hrs on it so far without issues or complaint. Big enough to run all my concrete grinding equipment simultaneously. This thing is heavy duty and HEAVY. Can get it up my trailer ramp solo but have used a drill powered winch to load it in wet weather. Very well built- metal tank, strong tubular frame (run my heavy ratchet straps through it, no deflection of frame), thick metal side plates and durable, solid rubber wheels (rigid axles but no problem lifting it to turn). I use a distribution box with 100′ of 6/4 cable so no opinion on the breakers/outlets. No leaks, never had to troubleshoot anything.

Amazing generator. Welder by profession and it runs everything that I need. Starts up the first time every time. Always get questions and compliments about it. Doesn’t even struggle with my mig/flux core welder plugged in and using saws and grinders. It’s heavy but in a good way. Not the cheaper stuff from harbor freight what bends right away. Large tank that lasts me all day of working without refueling makes it so nice. No need to carry around an extra gas can to fill up the generator. It’s expensive but well worth the money as it will last forever if properly maintained and serviced. Would definitely buy another one if I ever needed another.

Updated review- I’ve put over 1,000 hours on my used WL18000VE previously reviewed, no problems or leaks yet . Just oil change and one battery when I bought it (engine overdue for valve check but no signs of problems).

Great generator for everything. Use it constantly out in the field welding. Its large for sure but worth it. Its heavy and I use a winch to load it into the back of my flatbed. Starts up right away and large fuel tank lasts a full work day. Love that its simple to work on and parts I can find locally. It is loud and expected from a large portable generator.
