I just got this model generator used. It appears to have a fixed RPM. Is this original or was there an engine speed control depending on generator load. It currently is always in a high RPM mode and would like it to idle down on times of low load.
Andrew, the engine RPM is factory set and is recommend to be only be adjusted by a qualified technician. Because it is a diesel engine it should never be set to idle under low loads. This avoids “wet-stacking” of the engine.

Carlo, we would recommend a local diesel repair shop to assist you with priming the engine. Winco does not have written procedures for that.
