I have a 4PTH M3/10J What year was it built? Looking for the location of the Tecumseh model and serial numbers can youtell me where to kind them please?
Gary, the Winco serial number should be five numbers followed by the date code. The date code would have a letter for the month followed by the year built. The parts list on this page shows the engine model HM80. Winco did not record the engine serial number when your model was manufactured.
The Tecumseh serial number should be on the blower cover. I have a 4PTH-3M/L10 and just rebuilt my Tecumseh. It is an HM80-155404L SER0142D (“0” means 1980 (or 1990) manufacture year. 142 means the 142nd day in 1990, (which would be May 22nd, 1990 or May 21, 1980 since it was a leap year) 🙂
Do you still carry the parts for my 4PTH-3M/L10? I need the 61663 excitation rectifier (I believe) it drops out on motor start randomly. Otherwise works beautifully: )
My tecumseh HM80-155404L needed a new crank – the parts list is online but you need one with a tapered crankshaft. Seperating the armature can be done by using a 3/8 24 tap and bolt – and rod to push out. The parts list is available online
I forgot to tell you – the D means which Tecumseh plant it was built – which I believe is Grafton, WI
Robert, parts are limited because of the age of the product. Please call our Parts Department @ 507-357-8332. Or email in a parts request with the model and serial number to [email protected].
I have a 4PTH-3M/J10 generator. I am looking for a carburetor kit and a parts list so I can replace the fuel tank to get it running again. Can I find parts for this generator locally in Katy, Texas?
That looks like my engine – I can’t see it in the picture, but it looks like a Tecumseh HM80-155404L (tapered crankshaft). Remove the 2 bolts and look at the top of the flywheel / recoil starter to be sure. Tecumseh parts lists are readily available online 🙂
will a winco generator model lp1ow4-3e/a2ng run in either direction, I want to belt up a diesel engine to it, the gas was run out of oil set up. Thank you.
