Question
Steve Koratsky –
Does this generator, HPS12000HE, require a rest period each day? The manufacturer of my current generator recommends running the generator a maximum of 14 hours then giving the generator a 2 hour rest period before using it again.

Steve, although our operators manual does not require it, the engine manual requires you to check the oil daily. From a practical point of view, Winco would recommend shutting it down every 12 hours to check the oil and do the required engine maintenance as outlined in the engine manual. FYI, the engine has a low oil shut-down as a protection, and will shut off when the engine oil get too low.
