I am servicing my parents winpower 30/20 PTCD SN 95290-033 or 03B. I would like to know what type of lubricant go in the PTO gearbox. I could not find the list of lubricants referenced in the online operating manual. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Am trying to get my in-laws generator working. It shows proper voltage on the meter at 540rpms. When I test the voltage at the connector, it shows the correct voltage. However, when I put any load on it there is not enough power to drive even a lightbulb. Is this where I need to try exciting it? This symptom is not covered in the troubleshooting manual.

William,
You can use 85W-140 weight gear oil in the gear-case.
