Impressive!
Greg –
Thanks for such an excellent product that provides great flexibility by running on three fuels. Build quality and materials are very good. I honestly wasn’t prepared for how big this unit was and once it was assembled I was impressed. Starts right up and I’ll be running on NG soon. I priced out standby gensets and decided for the amount of use, and how many items we would need to power, this was the best choice for us. Thank you!

Question
Tim –
I’m in Ca. Do you make a 12000 watt unit/ tri fuel or gas /propane that meets the CARB requirements?

Josie Krugerud –
Hello, unfortunately we do not. We do manufacture a WL12000HE that is CARB approved, but it only runs on gasoline.

Question
Denis Jennisch –
What size NG gas line is needed to run this generator? 1/2 or 3/4?
Upvote if this was helpful (0) Downvote if this was not helpful (0) Watch Flag for removal
Josie Krugerud –
Hello Denis, this depends on the length of the fuel line. Less than 25 feet requires 3/4 inch black pipe. 25-100 feet requires 1 inch black pipe. We do not recommend going over 100 feet. There is more information in the manual, which you can find in the download table. You can also call our Service Department if you have more questions – 507-357-6831.

Joe,
We currently do not have a quick connect for vapor fuel hoses. Here is a link for a company that provides them: https://tejassmokers.com/

Josie Krugerud –
Hello Mickey,
The HPS12000HE is the largest tri-fuel we manufacture. It produces 10,800 running watts, 45 Amps at 240V. For more output in a portable, you would have to go to a gasoline only unit. You can contact our sales team to discuss your options at 507-357-6821.

Mike Johnston –
I have a Home NG outlet for my Weber gas grill using the standard attachment from the grill to connect to NG. Will that NG outlet be okay for this generator?
Upvote if this was helpful (0) Downvote if this was not helpful (0) Flag for removal
Dale Riebel –
Mike, generally no, because of the BTU requirements of the generator set. Please consult a licensed gas installer for the proper installation of the vapor fuel supply.

Question
Danilo Tramontozzi –
Can the 12000, running on NG, run a 5 ton central air unit.
Also, how does one lift the unit to install the wheels
Upvote if this was helpful (0) Downvote if this was not helpful (0) Watch Flag for removal
Josie Krugerud –
A 5 ton air conditioner needs 12.5 kw to start. You would put the gen–set up on blocks to install the dolly kit or use a hoist to lift it. If you have more questions, you can contact our sales department at 507-357-6821.

This Generator is AWESOME
Matt Wetty –
I purchased this generator through a licensed power dealer north of NYC who knew what they were doing. They communicated with my plumber and electrician to make sure the setup was safe and correct and would be easy for a typical homeowner like myself to wheel out, connect (natural gas) and turn on. We did not get a full home standby because of zoning headaches in our neighborhood. This was the best option we could find on the market. With Hurricane Ida blasting through our neighborhoood last week, power went down. Wheeled this puppy out, hooked everything up and with one turn of the key on this Honda engine it started up immediately. ( I do keep a trickle charger hooked up to the battery at all times so the battery is good to go ). We have a large home with all of the gadgets and lights and appliances. This basically pulls the whole house. We have 3 zones of AC. A 5 ton, a 4 ton and a 3 ton. It is able to run the whole house and I am able to turn on either the 3 or 4 ton AC without the generator choking off. I tried a second AC and it couldn’t quite handle it, but in a total outage situation when the whole neighborhood is dark stressing about AC seems excessive. Cool beer in the fridge, internet and lights and my family was pretty happy. This generator has a lot of power and ran for several days without any issues. It is a bit noisy, but for a 12K watt there is just going to be some noise and the Honda engine is well built and helps. If you buy this unit, spec if out with your plumber and electrician to make sure all of the connections are done correctly and safely. I highly recommend buying through a dealer that can set this unit up, test it and make sure it is ready to go. No more gas cans..! NG or Propane is so much easier.
